OUT OF THE MAYA TOMBS
originally called

DANCE OF THE MAIZE GOD
below is the link to the documentary itself

I am very happy to have been asked to be involved
in this project as I told the composer
it would be the first time that instruments of indigenous America
would be heard on a a documentary about indigenous America

I have seen so many of these where you hear everything but
indigenous instruments from the AMERICAS on a documentary
about THE AMERICAS

imagine watching a "documentary" on Moses,
and hearing instruments of China or Japan

instead of instruments of that region of the world

a "movie" soundtrack is a very different concept to me from a
"documentary" soundtrack,
as this documentary deals with
a very specific place
 a very specific time
and a very specific people

hoping that this happens more and more
as the instruments themselves go back thousands of years
and still played by modern day practitioners

KUDOS TO EVERYONE INVOLVED
check it out when it comes to PBS
a really fascinating documentary
