AGUILA BLANCA
This is basically a theme and variations based on Aguila Blanca
part of the repertoire of MEXICA/AZTECA DANZA
in a traditional setting there would be
1 person playing tlapan huehuetl (usually with sticks)
1 person playing teponaztli (with rubber tipped sticks)
and
dancers wearing ayoyotes which are now called chachayotes
SIDENOTE
if you look at the MEXICA/AZTECA CODICES you will be hard pressed to find
an image of dancers wearing them
but dancers can be seen wearing them in
THE DRESDEN CODEX
(Maya)
and
THE BOOK OF GODS AND RITES
(which is MEXICA/AZTECA)
